Endocrine care in Seattle is spread across a handful of health systems, each with its own clinics, phone lines and booking habits. This page gives one section per system: what the system says it treats, where the clinic is, the phone number we could source, and anything the system itself says about booking. Use it alongside the appointment guide once you know where you're headed.
We cite official pages wherever possible. Where an address or detail comes only from a directory or map listing, we flag it, and some UW locations are held back until we can confirm them on UW's own pages. Sources are listed at the end.
Key points
- UW Medicine, Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, Swedish First Hill and Kaiser Permanente Washington all run endocrinology in Seattle.
- Seattle Children's cares for children and teens and needs a referral before you call.
- Virginia Mason warns of high call volumes and long phone waits on its own services page.
- Two different addresses circulate for UW's Harborview clinic, so confirm before you go.

UW Medicine
UW Medicine is the academic health system tied to the University of Washington. It has a dedicated Diabetes & Endocrinology specialty page. There, UW describes an Endocrine Tumor Program that offers specialty care at four locations for benign and malignant disease of the thyroid, parathyroid and other glands.
UW's academic unit for the specialty is the Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology and Nutrition. Its contact page lists 1959 NE Pacific St. That is the division's address; for an appointment, go by the clinic location named in your referral or confirmation.
Endocrine Care Center at UW Medical Center – Roosevelt
A UW program page listing specialty care gives this clinic's address as 4245 Roosevelt Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105.
Endocrinology/Diabetes Clinic at Harborview
The same UW page lists the Endocrinology/Diabetes Clinic at Harborview Main Hospital, 325 9th Ave., Seattle, WA 98104. A Waze map listing for the clinic gives a different address: 908 Jefferson St, Floor 10, Seattle, WA 98104.
We haven't reconciled the two Harborview addresses yet. Before your visit, check UW Medicine's official Harborview clinic page, or ask when you confirm your appointment exactly which building and floor to go to.
Other UW locations
Directory sites list additional UW endocrinology and diabetes locations, including in South Lake Union and North Seattle. We're holding back their details until we can confirm them on UW Medicine's own location pages. If your referral names a UW site not covered here, rely on the address in your appointment confirmation.
Virginia Mason Franciscan Health
Virginia Mason Franciscan Health says its Section of Endocrinology provides care at multiple locations and has an international reputation in patient care, education and research. Its endocrinology services page lists consultation in multiple areas, including diabetes, thyroid cancer and disorders.
Virginia Mason Medical Center's key phone numbers page lists the endocrinology line as 206-223-6620. A Healthgrades listing gives the medical center's address as 1100 9th Ave, Seattle.
Virginia Mason's own services page warns of high call volumes and long phone waits. Call when you can stay on hold, keep your referral details and insurance card in front of you, and note the name of the person you speak with.
Endocrine surgery at Virginia Mason
Virginia Mason also describes an endocrine surgery service covering operations on the thyroid gland, the parathyroid glands and tumors of the pancreas. If surgery comes up in your care, the surgeon is a separate clinician you can look up using our license check guide.
Swedish First Hill
Swedish's First Hill campus endocrinology page lists the clinic at 1124 Columbia St, Suite 400, Seattle, WA 98104. Swedish says the clinic treats diseases of the thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands.
The phone number (206) 215-2440 appears on a Swedish endocrinology physician profile for this location. We cite that page only as the source of the number; we don't recommend individual doctors.
Kaiser Permanente Washington
Kaiser Permanente Washington lists a Diabetes & Endocrinology department at its Capitol Hill South Building, 125 16th Ave E, Seattle, WA 98112. Kaiser notes that the department is closed weekends and holidays.
Kaiser also sells a Washington Medicare Advantage (HMO) Group Plan, and its November 2025 provider directory for that plan lists endocrinologists. If Kaiser is your plan, start with Kaiser's own directory and member services to learn which endocrinologists and referral steps apply to your coverage.
Seattle Children's
For children and teens, the Seattle Children's endocrinology clinic provides long-term care for issues related to growth, puberty, diabetes or other hormone and gland disorders.
Booking has a firm first step. According to Seattle Children's contact and locations page, a referral is needed from the child's primary care doctor or another specialist. Once the referral is in place, families call 206-987-2640.
Seattle Children's Sand Point clinic says on its Facebook page that it specializes in diabetes, endocrinology, orthotics and prosthetics. Ask the scheduler which location your child will be seen at.
Matching a clinic to your reason for referral
No website can tell you which clinic is right for your situation; that's a conversation with your referring clinician. But the systems' own descriptions give you useful questions to bring to it.
| If your referral is about | Systems whose pages mention it |
|---|---|
| Thyroid disease, including thyroid cancer | UW Medicine (Endocrine Tumor Program), Virginia Mason, Swedish First Hill |
| Parathyroid | UW Medicine (Endocrine Tumor Program), Swedish First Hill, Virginia Mason (endocrine surgery) |
| Adrenal glands | Swedish First Hill |
| Diabetes | UW Medicine, Virginia Mason, Kaiser Permanente Washington, Seattle Children's (children and teens) |
| Growth or puberty in a child | Seattle Children's |
| Endocrine surgery | Virginia Mason (thyroid, parathyroid and pancreatic tumors) |
A system missing from a row doesn't mean it doesn't treat that condition, only that it wasn't named on the pages we checked. Once you have a clinician's name, run a quick license check before the first visit.
